Summer!!!

I can't believe it.... Summer vacation is here! It's so crazy! These past couple of weeks have been outright crazy!

The Saturday before finals week, which was April 30, we had our Latter Day Voices Spring Show! We had a matinee and a night showing. My family came down for the matinee. It was a great success! Had a blast :) May 1, we had the CES Broadcast that Sister Wixom spoke at. I sang in the choir with my fellow LDVers and the Institute choir. It was a great broadcast :)

On May 7, we had our day tour for Latter Day Voices! It was such a blast :) We visited an old folks home and sang, recorded The Spirit of God and had our testimony meeting in the Paris Tabernacle, and then drove to Dayton to perform our last show altogether. The testimony meeting was special and I will never forget it. The stage in Dayton was AMAZING. I walked in and stared at the stage in shock. The sound was amazing and the stage was humongous! It was a treat to sing in it :) Such an amazing experience! I'm definitely doing LDV for as long as I can!!!!!!

I've moved back home! It's sad and happy all at the same time :) I have a job, so I'm making some money, which is always good! I'm happy I'm with my family, but extremely sad I'm not as close to my friends in Logan. That's why it's so sad. Thank goodness for Facebook, phones, and Skype. Basically modern technology, or else I don't know what I'd do with myself. I really miss Logan though....

As I mentioned before, I have a job! At Megaplex! Hallelujah for free movies!! :) Pirates comes out on the 20th and I'm super stoked to see it! The first of many box office movies coming out this summer! Harry Potter, Breaking Dawn, etc. etc. I need to go catch up on all of the movies I haven't seen yet, ha! I'm hoping I can pick up a second job as well and make some more money, so if anyone hears of job openings, give me a holler!

Amanda spent the week with me while she waited for her summer apartment to open up! We had a lot of fun :) At least, I did! Ha ha :) We went to Salt Lake with my mom to visit my grandparents on Tuesday. I enjoyed the road trip! Joseph came and visited us on Wednesday and we played all day :) Then Amanda and I decided to go to Logan and visit people on Friday. When we got into town, we stopped and grabbed lunch at KFC and then popped in on Lauren and Christy! Christy wasn't there, so we visited with Lauren for awhile and then ran into Christy as we were leaving. We visited Shaun and Michael next and got to see their new bachelor pad, ha! It was great :) then we texted Joseph and met him at First Dam. We sat and talked and soaked up the Vitamin D. It was so relaxing :) I got a nice sun burn! Joseph had to leave for a meeting, so we met Kara at Aggie Ice Cream and went and got them keys for their summer apartment! We got dinner at Fredrico's and then I helped Amanda move her stuff in from the storage unit! We got her stuff semi-organized and then we went to Joseph's and watched a few episodes of 24. Although I was in Logan all day Friday, I'm still missing it.... Terribly. This is bad news. Ha!

The large chain of LDS missionary farewells started today. I had Caleb Walker's farewell today. His talk was amazing! All these amazing boys leaving me and serving the Lord.... it's such a blessing to have known so many awesome young men! Caleb leaves this Wednesday for the MTC and is serving in the El Salvador, San Salvador East Mission. He's going to be one spectacular missionary! Next Sunday is Todd Jeppson's farewell and the week after that I have two farewells! Matt Lund and Billy Edmunds. That's as far as I know so far! It's pretty crazy!

I've started the daunting task of de-junking my room. EWE. I have so much crap I don't use anymore! My sisters and I are switching rooms. My little sister wants the big room and since I'm gone for most of the year and I'm just home for the summer, I'm moving back into the bedroom I originally started in. Ha! It's smaller, which is actually happy. It'll be a lot easier to keep clean and it forces me to go through my stuff.... ha! Now it's just finding the motivation to just get it done. Cleaning like this gets old.... especially when it seems like it's never gonna end.
